Heh :P

Yeah why is it in country? Anyways this sound like a great start! I can't wait to here the whole thing. You are an absolute maser at packing TONS of energy into your intros and then continuing to maintain that energy throughout the entirety of the peice. Excellent work!

Second review how cool :P

Thanks again!

...So...jealous

Dude, I've been listening to this song all week after downloading it as an after thought while flying through my Favorite artist list. All I can say is WOW. I have to agree, one of your best ever. Absolutely love the melody, Your orchestration is awesome. Loved the change in chord progression at 3:00; a chord progression you don't typically use, but that made it even better. The syncopated Saw synth at 3:28 Gives me goose bumps every time, you are soo creative.

My favorite part is the last rendition of the melody by the square/saw synth starting at 3:44. That, combined with the alternate melody from the sine/saw synth that's been carrying the melody, make a great polyphonic ending to the song. Love the end at 3:56 and 4:10 where the two melody call and response on the root octave.

....Dang, the only things that could make this song any better would be maybe adding a key change and having a slightly more riveting intro (the beginning bored me a little, but I quickly forgot that).

Other than that all I can say is great job, and I SO, wish I could write music like this. Congratulations on another fantastic job!

Great Job!!

The key change!!! The key change!!! masterfully done! Great job again, the song really is a great remix of the original which, while I enjoyed it immensly, was too short :P The second remix didn't really capture the essence of the peice for me, but this one is great!! The only thing that seems to be missing from the peice is the Oriental Orchestration that made the others so Oriental in texture. Other than that you did a great job again, keep up the great work!

.finally

I fav'd you and this song A while back but never got a chance to come and review it until now.

The main thing i would like to say is...

Great composition, terrible audio file. The mp3 itself is not very enjoyable becuase of your poor MIDI quality. BUT, the composition is quite complex and very creative. I love the chord progression and melody. The peice flows very nicely, you use your dynamics quite well. You use the full orchestra and all the different instruments; an all important quality only done by a few other NGer's. overall, if you could get an orchestra to play this, it would be absolutely brilliant. YOu might consider going to some movie festivals where you will find tons of producers looking for composers to write the soundtracks to their movies. If you could get an upgrade in midi equipment or send the score to your local orchestras conducter and see what he thinks, I thknk you could make it quite well as a composer. Few NGer's usic is this complex and brilliant. kepp up the great wrok, can't wait to hear something else fom yah :) - Cobra151

Bravo!

Very nice! The whole thing is quite professional! The peice is pumped ful of energy, it makes me think of the end of an epic movie; enemy vanquished, sunrise in the sky, the girl cries, the hero holds his sword high, etc.

I have to ask, what program do you use?

PGegen responds:

Thanks, man! I use EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Silver for the orchestral sounds.

...wow...

Fantastic job my freind! your peice really evokes the nature of the time you went through (I know becuase I have recently experienced similar feelings). Thank God he is there for us when we need him!

Your Melody, your chord progression, orchestration, everything, mixed so well and created a brilliant peice that paints the picture that begins with pain and ends with hope :) keep up the powerful work! - Cobra

nice

Well written song, I like your flow and build. A little bit long (introducing a second melody like DjZeaklous suggested would help) but over all a well done song! - Cobra151

...I'm starting to run out of adjectives...

Very well done my freind!
I love all your cool efffects in here as well your superb musical quality. Your melody (as always) fits your well thought out and orchestrated chord progression with perfection. The energy you pack into the peice would make anyone want to get up and dance!

For some reason this peice makes me think of the end of an intense show or movie. The sort of music that would play while one was walking out the theater, reminding him of all the awesome drama and cenimatography he just witnessed.

Well you've done it again; gone and produced another song that will probably rock the Audio Portal. All I can say is, Keep it up! - Cobra151

...ish

Hey my freind! congratulations on a job well done!

.....(sigh), man, to be honest, I just don't know. The beginning grabs you really well until about 0:15 when the piano kicks in then it just starts to drift off. it's not playing at the moment, but I just listened to it twice...and I can't for the life of me remember the melody. You always do a fantastic job creating an extremely catchy melody, this one didn't quite do it for me.

Ok now for the things I did like:
I really liked your use of the saw synth at the beginning for the melody.

I always have liked that square sound that you slide up and down the scale in your peices

Ah. So you've finally discovered the epicness of changing keys, excellent! majorly improves the song.

Contrary to popular opinion I very much so like the "We believe" at the end, nery creative, and has a very vast effect.

Well sorry for the scathing review, guess number 2 will always be my favorite:)

Keep up the good work, God Bless! - Cobra151

Good Job!

Wow, I really like what you've done here, it sounds VERY professional. I like how you keep alternating between the original and the heavy metal. One thing about this feature, though, is that it is a little bit too sudden. It doesn't come as a plaesent surprise, it kind of makes the listener all edgy and nervous. Easing in and out of these transitions a little more would very much help this.

I thoroughly liked the little sub-theme you introduce at 0:54. it showed that, while this wa a remix and was sticking to the original alot, it was still your song and your remix and you could do whatever you wanted to it.

So, do you use a program to create this, or are you like recording playing the guitar, etc.? Either way, it is very, very professional sounding :)

Keep up the good work! - Cobra151

P.S. - You the MeastroRage do know this is the Tetris Theme Song right? Just double checking since neither of your Authors comments, on either of the peices mentioned it :P

PGegen responds:

I'm glad you liked the song, and thanks for the feedback on the transitions.

I did all of the song in Cubase, and recorded the guitar parts through a PODxt.

LadyArsenic did mention in one of her review responses that the original song was based on the Tetris theme.
